About MRI's

Increasingly, MRI's are being used for diagnosis and treatment of diseases in medical specialties such as orthopedics, along with ear, nose and throat problems.
MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is still perceived by some as experimental technology, as it has only been in use for the past few decades. Today, however, MRI is among the most important diagnostic tools in medicine. In orthopedic, cardiovascular and neurologic care, MRI has become a standard diagnostic tool. And with advancements in computers, magnets and imaging equipment, MRI is still used for the difficult-to-diagnose injuries and illnesses. Increasingly, MRI is being used for new diagnostic evaluations, along with treatment. Tesla is a measure of magnetic density or strength.
