For Patients

At KNI Imaging, your safety, comfort and convenience is our most important concern. When a test is scheduled for you at one of the four KNI/Borgess locations, you will receive instructions about your CT or MRI exam. Additionally, you receive two calls from us regarding arrangements for your test.

Other information about the exam, payment and scheduling will be included in our phone call to you.

Your MRI Exam

The exam requires no restrictions to food or drink. Please wear loose and comfortable clothing. Once you arrive, you may be asked to change into the appropriate clothing for your exam, as metal objects may interfere with the quality of your study. If your exam requires a contrast agent or "dye" to enhance the appearance of certain tissues or blood vessels in the images, a small needle will be placed in a vein in your arm, and a contrast agent will be injected.

Your CT Exam

Certain CT exams require the use of contrast. If you are having an exam that requires a contrast agent or "dye," you may be asked to avoid food or fluids for 4-8 hours before the test.

Please wear loose and comfortable clothing. Once you arrive, you may be asked to change into the appropriate clothing for your exam, because metal objects may interfere with quality of your study.
